"Error 1015" or "Sorry, you have been blocked" in Garmin Automotive Applications

You may experience any of the following error messages in a Garmin Automotive App.

  • "Error 1015  - You are being rate limited"
  • "Sorry, you have been blocked. - You are unable to access sso.garmin.com"

"Error 1015  - You are being rate limited"

  • You may get the error code Error 1015 when attempting to sign in. 
  • This is a temporary ban caused by multiple sign in attempts.
  • Wait at least 24 hours before attempting to sign in again as this temporary lock lifts on its own.

"Sorry, you have been blocked - You are unable to access sso.garmin.com"

  • Site security measures are blocking access to the Garmin app.
  • See the app message below for a resolution.
