"PNDM" Displayed on a Video from a Garmin Dash Cam

When playing a video recorded with a Garmin Dash Cam product, the letters "PNDM" may appear near the bottom of the video, and persist throughout the video's duration. This occurs when playing a video in a third-party video application.

This occurs because the application mistakes a particular file in the Dash Cam as a subtitle file, and attempts to display its data as a video subtitle. To resolve the issue, simply disable subtitles in the video software you are using.
