GC 100 Software Update

Since the release of the GC 100 Wireless camera, Garmin has released a software update that resolves possible issues with wireless stability.

Updating the GC 100 Software

NOTE: A maximum size 32GB micro/SD card, formatted to FAT32, with 2GB of free space, is needed for this update.

  1. Navigate to the software page

  2. Select Download and choose to save the file to the computer

  3. Select a location that is easily found, such as the 'My Documents' folder or 'C:\'

  4. Once the download is complete, go to the location where the file was saved

  5. Double-click on the downloaded file. This will automatically extract the files and run a program to transfer the software update to a micro/SD card

  6. Power on the chartplotters on the Garmin Marine Network

  7. Insert the micro/SD card into the card slot of a device on the Garmin Marine Network. Dismiss the window that is automatically displayed. If the device does not have a micro/SD card slot, consult a dealer

  8. Select the Video function and select the GC 100 to update as the Video Source

  9. Select Menu then select Video Setup to bring up the video setup menu

  10. Select Update Software and follow the on screen instructions. If the Update Software button is not available, the selected GC 100 is already up to date

  11. After installation is complete, update other GC 100 cameras in the system by repeating steps 8-10
