Reinstalling Course Maps to an Approach Golf Product
At times it may be necessary to reinstall the CourseView mapping to an Approach® golf device to troubleshoot a mapping issue or resolve an unlock or authentication error message. The CourseView mapping can be reinstalled through the Garmin Express™ program by following the steps below.
Reinstalling CourseView Mapping
- Connect the Approach device to the computer.
- Launch Garmin Express program.
- For steps on installing Garmin Express program, see - How Do I Install Garmin Express?.
- Select your Approach device from the Garmin Express home page.
- Select Course Details.
- Select Course Options.
- Select Reinstall for the region you want reinstalled.
- Click Accept to agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Click Continue.
- Wait until the update is completed.
- Disconnect the Approach device:
- If using a Windows computer, navigate to Computer or This PC (press Windows key + E).
- If using a Mac, navigate to the desktop:
- Control + click the Approach.
- Select Eject.
- Wait for the Approach to dismount (approximately 30 seconds).
- Unplug the Approach.
Following these instructions will ensure the latest firmware and courses are installed.
