Propeller on the Force Trolling Motor Will Not Spin

If the propeller on the Force® Trolling Motor is not spinning ensure that the software is up to date and then check the following:

Is the propeller status light Prop Status Lighton the Trolling Motor display panel turning on or off?

  • No

    • No light indicates a pairing issue. Check pedal, remote, and chartplotter to verify pairing
  • Yes

    • Pair the remote with the system Select Menu > About > Press cruise control (upper left button) eight times fast => Info
    • If the remote displays the run time of the motor, it is properly communicating with the unit. Contact Marine Product Support  

Engine data displayed on remote control indicates communication with Force motor

    • If the remote displays nothing, contact Marine Product Support

    • Dash lines Force Engine Hours shown on remote


    • Remove the shaft cap and unplug and plug the 6-pin connector

    • If the prop still does not spin, restore defaults to the Force Trolling using the remote
      NOTE: the pairing procedure for the foot pedal, remote and any previously connected chartplotter will need to be repeated, as will the bow offset and compass calibration

NOTE: If the trolling motor calibration is started and the device is partially stowed after it has been started, this can happen. Recalibrate in the fully deployed position and this should correct the issue.
