Setting the Time and Date On the Forerunner 405, 405CX Or 410

There is no way to manually set the time on the Forerunner 405, 405CX or 410. The device will automatically set the time once the watch has received a satellite fix.

To obtain a fix, hold Training to enter training mode. This prompts the watch to search for satellites. For best results, ensure the device is outside with a clear view of the sky.

If Time and Date Appear Incorrect:

• Ensure Time Zone and Daylight Savings Time (DST) Settings are Correct:

  1. Press Menu on the bezel
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Time
  4. Confirm correct Time Zone is selected and DST is set properly.

• Verify GPS Has Not Been Disabled:

  1. Press GPS on the bezel
  2. Confirm GPS is set to On

After confirming the correct settings above, the time and date should acquire and appear correct on the device.
