Contacts and Sending Messages With the Earthmate App
The Earthmate® app can be used with an inReach® satellite communicator to send messages to mobile phone numbers, email addresses and inReach addresses. You can use contacts that are either saved in the phone, synced from the Garmin Explore™ website, or manually entered. Use the instructions below to create and send a message.
IMPORTANT: The Earthmate app must be paired and connected to a compatible inReach device to send and receive messages, and is the only Garmin app that offers messaging features for these devices. Be sure to leave the Earthmate app open until the message is sent. If the app is closed early it can cause duplicate messages to be sent. For pairing instructions, see - Pairing Instructions for Earthmate Compatible inReach Devices.
Steps will differ depending on the type of mobile device you are using. Refer to your operating system below for instructions.
