Caring for the fenix, epix, tactix, or quatix silicone watch bands
The silicone watch bands for the epix, fenix, tactix, and quatix watches use a material which can be damaged by harsh chemicals.
To clean the watch band:
- Wipe device using a cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution
- Rinse with water
- Wipe dry
If you do come into contact with harsh chemicals, make sure to remove your watch as soon as possible. Thoroughly rinse the device with fresh water after exposure to chlorine, salt water, sunscreen, cosmetics, alcohol, or other chemical substances. Make sure to thoroughly clean your hands and wrists with fresh water before wearing the watch again to prevent any transfer of chemicals.
NOTE: Exposure to harsh chemicals may permanently discolor the band. Do not spray the device with harsh chemicals including, but not limited to, insect repellents containing DEET. Even small amounts of harsh chemicals can damage the plastic components and compromise the screen readability. To learn more, please see the Device Care section of the owner's manual.
