Dates and Times Displayed in Waypoint Manager

When a waypoint is created on a Garmin device, the date and time of when that waypoint was created will be saved in the waypoint. When viewing the Waypoint Manager¹ on a Garmin handheld, waypoints will have a time, day, or date² listed next to them if the following criteria are met:

• The waypoint was created either on the handheld, or on another Garmin device and then copied over to the handheld
• The waypoint name is not more than 3-4 characters long (depending on the display size of the handheld). Longer waypoint names will prevent the date/time from being displayed.
