Upgrade Program Process

1. Read the terms and conditions below.

2. Complete and submit the inReach Upgrade Program Form.

3. Service to your DeLorme inReach device will be permanently deactivated when the form is processed.

4. The device and subscription promotion codes will be sent to the email address provided.

5. Purchase and activate your new inReach device.

Terms and Conditions

inReach Upgrade Program promotion valid for existing inReach customers with select DeLorme inReach devices (inReach for Android, inReach for Smartphones, inReach SE, inReach Explorer) that have been on a service plan on their account within the last 24 months. Account must be in good standing at the time of processing. Offer not valid for customers with a billing address in any country or region where the inReach device is not available for purchase or use.

Device owner must complete and submit the inReach Upgrade Program Form to receive the promotion codes. Promotion participants must be in physical possession of the DeLorme inReach device at the time of form submission. Proof of physical possession may be required by Garmin. Service to the previously purchased DeLorme inReach device will be permanently deactivated when the form submission is processed, and the previously purchased device will be permanently blocked from future activation on any account. Any early termination fees, if applicable, will be waived. Device owner is responsible for proper recycling or disposal of device.

Garmin reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel this program at any time and for any reason.

Device Promotion Code:

Promotion code valid for select new inReach devices purchased on Garmin.com through December 31, 2025. Each promotion code is valid for the purchase of one qualified device. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Offer has no cash value and may not be sold or transferred.

Subscription Promotion Code:

Activate your new inReach device using the promotion code any time through December 31, 2025, and you will not be charged the monthly satellite subscription plan fee for the first month of service after your activation.

Offer does not apply to one-time activation fees, which must be paid upon activation. Offer also does not apply to overages or additional charges, when applicable, or plan changes on active accounts. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value.

Your selected subscription plan will renew automatically at the end of its term unless you make changes to your account before its renewal date. At the end of the free 1-month period, you are responsible for all charges resulting from renewal, overages or alternate subscription purchases. Changing your active subscription plan during the promotional period will not extend the offer beyond the first month after your activation. You can manage or cancel your subscription at garmin.com/subscriptions.

What devices are eligible for this program? Does the device need to be active?

The inReach Upgrade Program applies to customers with DeLorme inReach for Android (launched 2011), DeLorme inReach for Smartphones (launched 2011), DeLorme inReach SE (launched 2013) and DeLorme Explorer devices (launched 2014).

The DeLorme device does not need to be currently active but must have been on a service plan on your account (Consumer or Professional) within the last 24 months to qualify for this promotion.

Where is the Promotion available?

What discounts are included through the program?

The program includes two discounts – a device discount and a subscription promotion. The device discount is 25-40% for a new inReach device on Garmin.com. The subscription promotion is 1 month of free inReach service upon activation. Read the terms for full details.

How do I receive the promotion codes?

To participate in the program and receive your promotion codes, you will need to meet the eligibility requirements and submit the inReach Upgrade Program Form.

A representative will process your form submission and provide the promotion codes via email within 2-3 business days. Each code is valid for a single use and applies to the purchase and activation of one applicable device.

I have multiple DeLorme devices. Can I receive a promotion code for each device?

You can participate once per eligible device. You must submit a separate inReach Upgrade Program Form for each device.

What is the discount on a new device and what devices does it apply to?

The promotion code must be entered during purchase on Garmin.com code to receive 40% off an inReach Mini 2, inReach Messenger, Montana® 750i, or Alpha® 200i; or 25% off inReach Messenger Plus, GPSMAP® 67i, GPSMAP 86i/86sci, or Montana® 700i. Product availability may vary by location and the discount doesn’t apply to taxes, shipping costs or other fees.

Can I get 40% off a inReach Messenger Plus or GPSMAP 67i? Can I get a discount off Alpha 300i or a Tread device. Why not?

The promotion is only for the amounts and devices specified in the terms. We are unable to provide additional discounts.

Is there an upgrade program for other devices, such as inReach Mini and inReach Explorer+ or SE+?

This program only covers upgrade discounts for DeLorme inReach for Android, DeLorme inReach for Smartphones, DeLorme inReach SE and DeLorme inReach Explorer devices. We do not have upgrade programs available for other devices at this time.

What happens with the device that is permanently deactivated? Can I reactivate the device again in the future?

As part of the promotion code request process, any then-active subscription for the existing DeLorme device will be canceled and the device will be permanently blocked from future activation. This means that the device will not be able to be reactivated by the user who submitted the form or anyone else.

What happens to my data after my old device has been deactivated?

Previously synced data, like waypoints and tracks, will still be available in your account after your device has been deactivated. If you wish to keep your old data, simply sign into the same account when you are ready to activate your new inReach device.

How long does this program/promotion run?

This is an ongoing promotion. We anticipate this program running through 2025.

What do I do with my old device?

We ask that program participants responsibly recycle their device through their local electronics recycling program. Many municipalities and electronics retailers offer free recycling programs.

I don’t want to or can’t be without an active inReach device but this process requires my device to be deactivated before I can purchase a new one. What do I do?
