Understanding PlaysLike Distance on an Approach S70 Watch

The Approach® S70 - 42mm and Approach® S70 - 47mm watches have enhancements to the PlaysLike Distance feature. PlaysLike Distance accounts for elevation changes on the course, wind speed, wind direction, and air density by showing the adjusted distance to the green. Air density is a combination of factors including temperature, humidity, and air pressure.

How PlaysLike Distance Appears on the Watch

To get to the view showing the PlaysLike Distance factors, swipe up on the screen where the front, middle, and back distances are located.

The example indicates the shot will play like:

1. +5 distance units (yards or meters depending on Golf Distance setting) for elevation.

2. -3 for wind speed and direction.

   NOTE: The arrow points to the wind direction relative to the pin.

3. +2 for air density.

Those are automatically totaled and add 4 distance units to actual distance to the pin.

PlaysLike Distance Settings

Settings can be adjusted on the watch for PlaysLike Distance.

1. Press .

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Golf Settings.

4. Select PlaysLike.

5. Choose an option:

   • Wind - enables or disables wind in the calculation

   • Weather - enables or disables weather (air density) in the calculation

   • Home Conditions - allows manual adjustments to altitude, temperature, and humidity
