Garmin Express Displays a Server Error Message When Updating a Garmin UConnect System

Uconnect systems may display a server error in Garmin Express if the map update kit has not been purchased and installed. If the update kit has not been purchased and installed, Garmin Express will display the error message "Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers."

If there is an update available for the vehicle's UConnect system, during the activation of the purchased map update kit the website will indicate if an update is needed through Garmin Express. Instructions for using Garmin Express will be provided at that time.

Follow the instructions included with the purchased update to complete the entire software update process.

NOTE: Updates are not mandatory or required for your device to continue operating. You can continue to use the device with a previous version installed.
