Pairing a Replacement inReach Device With Your Phone

If you received a replacement inReach® satellite communicator from Garmin, or upgraded to a new device, you will need to take some steps to transfer your inReach service and get the replacement device connected to your phone. It is important to follow these steps in order to ensure that you remove the old device properly, and add the replacement device properly.

1. Confirm App Compatibility if You Have Upgraded to a Different Model of inReach Satellite Communicator

If you have upgraded to a different model of inReach satellite communicator, it may need to be used with a different app.

2. Remove the Old inReach Device From the Associated App

Refer to the instructions for the app(s) being used with your inReach satellite communicator:

• Removing an inReach Device From the Garmin Messenger App

3. Forget the Old inReach Device From the Bluetooth Menu of the Phone

Refer to the instructions for the phone being used with your inReach satellite communicator:

Unpairing from an Android Device

1. Open Settings on your Android device.

2. Select Bluetooth or Connected Devices.

3. Select the inReach Device or select .

4. Select Unpair.

Unpairing from an iOS Device

1. Open Settings on your iOS device.

2. Select Bluetooth.

3. Select the  next to the inReach device.

4. Select Forget this Device.
