Syncing, Adding, and Deleting Tread app Data on the Tread 2

The Tread app account is an intermediary tool for creating, deleting, and transferring data to and from the Tread® 2 GPS navigator.
You must connect to the Tread® App and enable storage to sync your Tread app account data with the Tread. See Installing and Pairing the Tread App for instructions.

The Garmin Tread app will wirelessly sync data with the Tread. Information that is added or deleted from the app will then be added or removed from the Tread the next time it syncs to the Tread app. If your smartphone does not have an active internet connection, it will not be able to sync.

To Verify a New Data Sync on the Tread 2

When additional data is added to the Tread app, it will sync with the Tread 2 via the cloud. To verify the latest data sync was successful follow the steps below.

  1. Touch Saved

  2. Check the upper left hand corner of the screen to see the date and time of the last sync with Tread app


To Delete Saved Data on the Tread 2:

  1. Touch Saved.

  2. Touch the file category you want to view.

    • i.e. Collections, All, Waypoints, etc.

  3. Touch the Three Dots in the upper right hand corner.

  4. Touch Select and Edit.

  5. Touch the empty box next to each file you want to delete.

  6. Touch the Trash icon.

  7. Touch Yes.


To Delete Saved Data in the Tread app:

  1. Open the Tread app.

  2. Touch the menu icon (3 bars) in the top left.

  3. Touch Saved.

  4. Select an item to delete.

  5. Touch Delete.

  6. Touch Continue.
