Searching for Intersections on Automotive Devices
Intersections can be set as destinations on your automotive device. Intersections are defined as street intersections and may not include Highway or Interstate connections or other junctions where the roads do not physically intersect with one another. If the text language on your device is set to British or Australian English, the Intersections option will be displayed as "Junctions".
To Set an Intersection (or Junction) as a Destination:
- Touch Where To? or Search
- Touch Intersections
- Enter the State where the desired intersection can be found
- On devices that allow you to enter both a city and state, touch Search All if the city is unknown
- On some devices, enter Country, then Town
- Type the name of the first street
- Touch Done and select the desired street name from the list of possible matches1
- Type the name of the second street
- Touch Done and select the desired street name from the list of possible matches1
- Touch the desired intersection
- Touch Go! to begin navigation to the selected intersection
The device will now begin navigating you to the selected intersection.
See your device's owner's manual for instructions to add Intersections as a shortcut on the Where To? or Search menu.
1 It may not be necessary to touch Done if the list of search results appears before you have finished typing the street name. If the device is unable to locate the entered street(s), it may be helpful to remove any words or abbreviations that designate direction or street type (e.g., Street, Blvd, West, SE, CR, FM, etc.).
