Using Auto-Calibration for Setting Up the Xero A1i PRO

Using the bow's draw length, arrow diameter, and chronograph arrow speed, the Xero® A1i Pro bow sight can predict the ballistic profile of your arrow and automatically calibrate the pin stack out to the max range of the sight window. For Arrow Diameter, there are options for Micro (5 mm or less), Standard (6.5 mm), and Large (8 mm or larger) to choose from within the menu.

Automatically Calibrating Pins

  1. When prompted during the setup of an arrow profile, select Start.
  2. Select Yes to begin auto-calibrating the pin stack.
NOTE: Selecting No will results in beginning the manual calibration process.
  3. Select Yes to enter sight height and sight length for improved accuracy at longer distances, select Skip to move the the Select Arrow Diameter step.
    • Grip to Sight (Length) is the distance in inches between the throat of the grip to the sight ring.
      AutoCal Length
    • Sight Height is the distance in inches between the sight and a nocked arrow.
      AutoCal Height
NOTE: Sight length and sight height allow the Xero A1i PRO sight to know the precise Minute of Angle (MOA) associated with the pin stack and allow for 70+ yard distances to have improved accuracy.
  4. Use the < and > buttons to scroll through arrow diameter options.
  5. Press OK to confirm your choice.
  6. The pin stack is automatically created and a prompt to begin validating the pin stack will show.

Validating the Pin Stack

Validating the pin stack ensures the sight has been tuned to the arrow's true ballistic profile. The bow sight prompts validating the pin stack at 40 m (40 yd.) or farther. For long distance shooting, validation should be done at a longer range.

The device prompts you to validate the pin stack after auto-calibration.

  1. Select Start when prompted.
  2. Range a target and select Yes to confirm the range.

Setup can now be completed and a max range is then calculated.

NOTE: If a mistake is made during calibration, you can Reset All Settings on the Xero A1i PRO sight. The sight will then reset back to factory defaults and the initial calibration can be started again. Follow the process as outlined in Reset the Xero A1 or A1i Back to Factory Default Settings.

NOTE: If you run out of horizontal travel for setting windage the bow should be tuned by a professional.
