My Approach X40 Is Not Recognized By Computer
The Approach® X40 golf activity tracker appears as a drive on your computer, allowing easy access to data on the device and to be recognized by Garmin programs. Occasionally, the device may not appear as a drive. The following steps can be performed to get the device to be recognized.
Forcing Device Connection With Computer
- Ensure device battery is fully charged.
- Power device off.
- Press and hold the Device Key.
- Plug device into computer.
NOTE: Continue to hold the Device Key. - Wait until device is recognized by computer.
NOTE: It may take up to 30 seconds for device to be recognized as a drive. - If prompted, install USB device drivers.
- Release the Device Key.
