Syncing an iOS Device with inReach.garmin.com

Contacts and Quick Text messages added to an account at inreach.garmin.com need to be Synced to the Earthmate app on your iOS device. If you want to post messages to Facebook, Twitter, or your MapShare page with your inReach device, you need to set that information up before completing a Sync.

To Sync Account Info

You may see slight differences in the look and position of buttons or options on your iOS device.

  1. Launch the Earthmate app .
    Note:     The Earthmate app is a free download from the App Store℠.


  2. Tap More at the bottom of the screen.


  3. Tap Options.


  4. Tap Account & Sync.
  5. Enter your inreach.garmin.com username and password. If you have previously Synced the Earthmate app to yourinreach.garmin.com account skip to step 6.

  6. Tap Sync.


  7. The Earthmate app is now Synced to inreach.garmin.com. Make sure to repeat this process every time a change is made to the contacts, Quick Texts, or Social settings on the inreach.garmin.com account.
