The GI 275 Says “Error not unlocked” After a Database Download

If you see the "Error not unlocked" message when downloading databases to a GI 275, your System ID was entered incorrectly in the flyGarmin.com® website.

Find the GI 275 System ID by following the instructions listed below.

  1. Pushing in and hold the knob.
  2. Scroll to and touch System.
  3. Scroll to and touch Info.
  4. Scroll to the System ID which starts with BA600.


You will need to contact Aviation Support by calling 1- 866-739-5687 and provide us with the correct System ID, which we will change on your account. Once this is corrected, You will then need to redownload the databases.
