Sending an inReach Message to a ZOLEO Device
Upon activation, ZOLEO devices are assigned a virtual number that can be used to receive SMS messages. However, inReach devices do not support sending SMS messages to virtual numbers, and therefore cannot reliably deliver these messages to ZOLEO users.
inReach® satellite communication devices do not have a dedicated email address or SMS phone number, so ZOLEO users are not able to initiate two-way conversations with inReach devices.
Partial messaging functionality can be achieved by sending a one-way message from the inReach to the ZOLEO user's @zoleo.com email address. This will allow you to send a message to the ZOLEO user, but they will not be able to reply to the message.
