Maps that cover the Great Lakes

For navigational and fishing purposes on the Great Lakes, Garmin recommends using the BlueChart g2 HD or BlueChart g2 Vision HD charts. These charts will contain the most detail (such as spot soundings, buoys, contours, known hazards, submerged cables, etc…) for the entire lake body.

Starting in 2011, the US BlueChart g2 card and downloadable content gave full coverage (both U.S. and Canadian waters) of the Great Lakes. Previously only the Canadian g2 card contained this data.

LakeVü HD and LakeVü HD Ultra have detail for the entirety of the Great Lakes as well.
