Finding the Serial Number for a Chirp

There is no serial number on the chirp™ wireless beacon itself. The device that set up the chirp will be able to view the serial number, while other GPS devices will require the last five digits of the unit ID of the device that programmed the chirp as a PIN to view the serial number.

Viewing the chirp Serial Number

1. Select Setup from main menu.

2. Select Geocache.

3. Select Program chirp.

4. Select Enter Pin.

   • Skip this step if using the device that programmed the chirp.

5. Enter in the last five digits of the device's unit ID¹ that programmed the chirp.

   • Skip this step if using the device that programmed the chirp.

6. Select Show Chirp Details.

The serial number will now appear, along with the number of visits and date of last visit.

¹ The unit ID can be found in the About section within the Setup menu.
