3D Speed and Distance on the D2, fēnix, quatix, and tactix
The 3D Speed and Distance features change the way the D2™, epix™, fēnix®, quatix®, and tactix® watches read speed and distance.
- 3D Speed – Calculates speed using both the elevation change and horizontal movement over ground.
- 3D Distance – Calculates the distance traveled using both elevation change and horizontal movement over ground.
To enable this feature on the D2*, fēnix, or tactix watch:
- Select Orange/Action key
- Select Setup
- Select Sensors
- Select Altimeter
- Select 3D Data
- Select 3D Speed and/or 3D Distance
- Select On
Once these features are enabled the device will calculate speed and distance in the data pages using 3D speed and distance.
* These features were added via a software update to the fēnix, tactix and D2 watches. If your device is listed and lacks these features, a software update will be required. Please see related content for assistance updating your device.
