Troubleshooting Bike Speed Sensor (BSS) ANT+ Pairing Issues

Below are some troubleshooting steps to take if the Bike Speed Sensor (BSS) will not establish a connection with your device:

  • Place sensor on front wheel of bicycle. This will move sensor furthest from a component which may be magnetized.

  • Electrical interference, such as computer monitors and high-voltage electrical lines, may produce pairing issues.

  • Replace CR2032 battery in BSS. Wait at least 30-60 seconds after old battery is removed before installing new battery.

  • It may be necessary to rescan for BSS. Reference your Owner's Manual for more information to rescan for BSS.

  • Ensure your device software is up to date using Garmin Express.

  • Ensure green LED flashes for 5 seconds after 2 revolutions.

These steps will help ensure your BSS properly pairs with your device.
