My Approach Z80 is in the Wrong Language

If your Approach® Z80 laser range finder is set to the wrong language and you need to change it, the below instructions will guide you through selecting the correct language. If the language is incorrect on your first usage of the watch, follow the steps for resetting the device.

Changing the Language

  1. Power on the Approach Z80, then press Triangle Pointing Downtwo times
  2. Press Circle with Horizontal Line Through Center
  3. Press Triangle Pointing Down three times
  4. Press Circle with Horizontal Line Through Center
  5. Press Circle with Horizontal Line Through Center
  6. Select your desired language

You have now changed the language on your Approach Z80 range finder. 

If you were unable to change the language on your watch using the steps above, select the option for Resetting below and follow those steps to reset your range finder. You will be prompted to select a language after the reset, during initial setup. 


Factory Reset

  1. Power off the Approach Z80, then press and hold Triangle Pointing Up and Circle with Horizontal Line Through Center
  2. Press and release Power/Triangle Pointing Down
  3. When the light turns purple, release Triangle Pointing Up
  4. When the light turns red, release Circle with Horizontal Line Through Center

The Approach Z80 range finder will now reset, and a new language can be selected during the initial setup.
