Data loaded to an SD card a nüvi 700 and 705 series device will recognize
Garmin automotive devices will read a variety of data from an SD card. The recognized data types are listed below:
- JPEG picture files
- Garmin mapping image files loaded to the card via Garmin MapSource® or Garmin MapInstall™ software, or through Garmin's downloadable web content
- User-created routes for devices supporting multiple-point routing1,2
- These files do not require you to keep the memory card installed in the device once imported
- Files will be imported to the internal storage
- Waypoints1 and custom Points of Interest (POI) files
- These files do not require you to keep the memory card installed in the device once imported
- Files will be imported to the internal storage
- MP3 files
- Audible book files3
1Some devices require you import routes and waypoints before they will appear on the device.
