Pairing Instructions for Garmin Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor With the eTrex 30 or 30x

If using the Garmin Speed/Cadence bike sensor* (GSC 10) for the first time or if the GSC 10 battery has been replaced, then it may be necessary to pair the sensor and eTrex 30 before use.

To pair your GSC 10 with the eTrex 30:

1. Press Menu twice to access the Main Menu
2. Select Setup
3. Select ANT Sensor
4. Under Bike Cadence Sensor, select Search For New
5. Press Reset on your GSC 10 (the white button)
6. Wait for Reset to flash red/green
7. Pedal your bike to see alternating red/green blinks on the GSC 10 reset button

Bike Cadence Sensor will show Connected when pairing is successful. The eTrex 30 will then pick up cadence through the GSC 10. Speed will come from GPS.

*The Garmin Speed/Cadence bike sensor has been discontinued and is no longer available to purchase. The eTrex 30 and eTrex 30x will not pair with the current Garmin Cadence Sensor available for sale. It is not advertised as compatible.
