Connecting my Nolan/Dainese Bluetooth Helmet to an Automotive Device
Before connecting a Nolan/Dainese Bluetooth helmet to your Garmin device make sure the device and helmet are fully charged. The device will also need to have the latest software. Follow the steps below to update the software and pair the device with the Nolan/Dainese Bluetooth helmet.
To Update the Software on the Device:
- Download and Install Garmin Express
- Follow the prompts to add the device to Garmin Express
- Click on Install next to the applicable software updates
To Set your Nolan/Dainese Helmet to Discoverable Mode:
- Press and hold the On button
- Continue to hold the On button for three bleeps
Using the Device to Search for your Nolan/Dainese Helmet:
- Touch Tools
- You may skip this step on some devices
- Touch Settings (Spanner/Wrench icon)
- Touch Bluetooth
- Touch Add (under Connect Headset or Audio)
- Touch OK
- If prompted to enter a passkey after the device finds the Q2, enter "0000"
You have now successfully paired the helmet to your device.
NOTE: Your Nolan/Dainese helmet must be in discoverable mode for the device to be able to find and connect to the helmet correctly. If the device does not connect make sure you listen for the three beeps and search after you have heard all three.
