How Do I Export Data Out of Garmin Connect?

Activity exports from your Garmin Connect™ account offer multiple format options including:

Export to Google Earth
Export to GPX
Export Original
- The file type will be in the format of how the original device created the file. In most cases this will be .fit format.
Export to TCX
Export Splits to CSV

Instructions to Export Data

Select the scenario that describes what you want to export to reveal detailed instructions.

Export a Timed Activity From the Garmin Connect Website

From a web browser sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Activities from the navigation bar on the left.
Select All Activities.
Select the name of the activity you would like to export.
Select the settings gear in the top right corner.
Select the export format you would like to use from the drop-down menu.

The file will then begin to download.

Export All Uploaded Timed Activities as a CSV File

From a web browser sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Activities from the navigation bar on the left.
Select All Activities.
Select Export CSV located on the top right side of the activities list.
The file will begin to download.
- Filtering the list of activities by Activity Type can narrow down the number of activities exported to CSV.
- Scrolling to the bottom of the list of activities then selecting Export to CSV will export all activities in the list.
- The file will contain a summary of the activities that can be viewed as a spreadsheet or potentially in certain 3rd party programs.

Export All Garmin Data Using Account Management Center

This will provide an export of all your associated Garmin data.

From a web browser go to Garmin Account Data Management.
Sign in. (If already signed in move to next step)
Select Export Your Data.
Select Request Data Export.

Your request will be submitted and a download link will be emailed to you. Links typically are sent in 48 hours but can take up to 30 days. For a review on the file types you can expect to receive, review the opening statement at the beginning of this FAQ.

NOTE: If you are looking for the individual activity data to upload to a new account or a third-party site you can find them by navigating to "DI_CONNECT > DI-Connect-Fitness-Uploaded-Files" and opening the .zip files contained within.

Export Reports in Garmin Connect Website

NOTE: Reports can only be exported in CSV format.

From a web browser sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Reports from the navigation bar on the left.
Select a specific category you want to export data from.
Select to export from 7 days, 4 weeks, 6 months, 1 year (varies based on what is chosen).
Select Export.

Export Wellness Data

Export a day's worth of wellness FIT files. This includes data such as steps, sleep, stress, HRV and more. The data will be exported as original .fit files in a zip folder.

From a web browser sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select your profile icon in the upper right.
Select Account Settings.
Select Account information.
At the bottom of the screen, select a date to export wellness data from.
Select Export.
