How to Schedule Workouts Using the Calendar in Garmin Connect

Advanced workouts can be scheduled for specific days using the Calendar in your Garmin Connect™ account. To see which devices are compatible with each workout type and how to create workouts, see Related content below.

Workouts can be added to or removed from the Calendar using the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Connect website. Select one of the options below to view instructions.


Garmin Connect App Instructions

Option 1: Schedule a Workout From the Calendar View

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select Calendar.

  3. Select a day on the calendar.

  4. Select Three Dots in the top right corner.

  5. Select Add Workout.

  6. Select a workout.

Option 2: Schedule a Workout From the Workout Menu

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select More (bottom right).

  3. Select Training & Planning.

  4. Select Workouts.

  5. Select the workout you would like to schedule.

  6. Select Three Dotsin the top right corner.

  7. Select Add to Calendar.

  8. Select the date you want to schedule the workout for.

  9. Select OK (Android) or Done (iOS).

Removing a Workout From the Calendar

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select Calendar.

  3. Select a day on the calendar.

  4. Select the workout you wish to remove.

  5. Select Three Dotsin the upper right corner.

  6. Select Remove from calendar.

NOTE: If you are trying to re-schedule a Garmin Coach workout, this must be done using the web version of Garmin Connect. The Garmin Connect mobile app does not support this option. See the Garmin Connect Web Instructions drop down for more.


Garmin Connect Web Instructions

Option 1: Schedule a Workout From the Calendar View

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. Select Calendar (top left).

  3. Select a day on the calendar.

  4. Select Workout.

  5. Workouts will now be listed on the right-hand side of the page. Use one of these options to schedule a workout:

    • Drag a workout onto the calendar to schedule it.

    • Select Three Dots on the desired workout, then select Schedule. Confirm the date to schedule the workout, then select Add to Calendar.

Option 2: Schedule a Workout From the Workout Menu

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. From the left-hand navigation menu select Training & Planning.

  3. Select Workouts.

  4. Select Calendar icon to the right of the desired workout.

  5. Select a day on the calendar.

Removing a Workout From the Calendar

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. Select Calendar (top left).

  3. Select the desired workout from the calendar.

  4. Select Remove from Calendar.

Rescheduling a Garmin Coach Workout

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. Select Calendar (top left).

  3. Drag the workout in question from the scheduled date to the date of your choice.

  4. Select Move only this workout or Shift the entire training plan.

  5. Select Ok.

  6. Sync your device before completing your next activity.


Your Garmin device will automatically download upcoming workouts from your Garmin Connect Calendar when you sync. Calendar workouts will appear under Training Plans or Training Calendar on your device.
