Garmin Express Incompatibility with Chromebook and Linux Operating Systems
Garmin Express™ software is a desktop application that helps you manage and update your Garmin devices.
Chromebooks and Linux-based operating systems are not compatible with the installation of Garmin Express. See Can I use Garmin Express on a Phone or a Tablet? for more information.

To install Garmin Express a compatible Windows operating system, or Mac OS X / macOS must be used.

- Microsoft .NET 4.7.2 (included in the download)

- High-speed Internet access (not for use with dial-up, mobile, or satellite connections)
- Up to 20 GB free disk space
- For users running Windows 8 or older, please download version 7 of Garmin Express for Windows.
