Activating the Notification, Weather, and Music Controller Feature in the Y-Connect App

The Y-Connect app requires BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection to receive notification and weather apps.  BLE is required to enable applications.    

The Y-Connect Connection Allows the Following:

  • Changing language shown on CCU
  • Using the Weather Application
  • Displaying smartphone notifications
  • Answering a phone call from CCU button
  • Operating the music control from CCU

A screen example is shown below. 

  

Follow the below instructions to set up and pair the Y-Connect App.

iPhone

Step 1

1. Connect phone with internet
2. Open Y-Connect app
3. Select a login option
4. Allow location

Enter Discovery Mode on Motorcycle:

1. Enable Bluetooth on phone
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch Bluetooth on phone
4. Turn CCU to Bluetooth Discovery mode

Make Connection From App: 

1. Make Bluetooth connection from Y-Connect App 
Enable Bluetooth before connecting 

Step 2

1. Pair the device
2. Verify connection check
The  icon indicates BLE is connected. 

Android

Step 1

1. Connect phone with internet
2. Open Y-Connect app
3. Select a login option 
4. Allow location 

Enter Discovery Mode on Motorcycle:

1. Enable Bluetooth on phone

2. Touch Settings

3. Touch Bluetooth on phone

4. Turn CCU to Bluetooth Discovery mode

Make Connection from App:

1. Make Bluetooth connection from Y-Connect App 

Enable Bluetooth before connecting 

 

Step 2

1. Pair the device
2. Verify connection check 
The YC22.PNG icon indicates BLE is connected.
