Move Pin Option During the Initial Calibration of the Xero A1 or A1i
During the initial calibration of the Xero® A1/A1i bow sight, you will be prompted through setup steps such as Setting the Primary Pin.
The primary pin is a fixed point on the device optic that points along the same axis as the laser rangefinder. You can change the primary pin's alignment by adjusting the straight vertical and horizontal adjustments on the mount. After setting the primary pin, additional pins can be set for different distances using the device software.
Moving the Primary Pin during the Initial Calibration
- After ranging a target for the first distance during setup, the sight will ask you to Set pin using vertical and horizontal rails.
- The Move Pin option will allow to use the left and right arrow buttons (< >) buttons to change the position of the primary pin within the sight window.
- Pressing the OK button will allow you to save the settings.
- Move on to the Aligning the Rangefinder with the Primary Pin portion of the initial setup.
NOTE: If you set the primary pin for farther distances, such as 30 m (33 yds), you will have a farther maximum range but will decrease visibility of closer targets. If you set the primary pin for shorter distances, you will have greater visibility of close targets, but a shorter maximum range.
