G3X Touch systems installed using FAA STC SA01899WI, Master Drawing List (MDL) 005-01320-00, are affected.

COMPLIANCE:

Recommended: This STC Service Bulletin is recommended for certified G3X systems installed with the GFC 500 autopilot pitch trim servo.

For all other installations this STC Service Bulletin is optional and may be incorporated at the owner’s discretion.

PURPOSE:

MDL revision 3 includes G3X Touch Software Version 8.30. G3X Touch Software Version 8.30 corrects an issue that causes the GFC 500 autopilot to disengage when running pitch auto-trim.
