Change Route Button

The Change Route button is available in an active route. It is used to calculate a new route if possible to avoid something ahead of you. The device will take you off the current route and will attempt to get you back on your original route as quickly as possible.

If the route you are currently navigating is the only reasonable option according to your navigation settings, the device might not calculate a detour.

The Change Route Button can be Accessed from the Wrench or 3-Line Menu While Viewing the Map.

The Change Route Button will give the Following Detour Options:

• Detour
• Detour by Distance
  • 1/2 Mile
  • 2 Miles
  • 5 Miles
• Detour By Road(s) in Route

The 1/2 Mile, 2 Miles, and 5 Miles option will navigate you off of the route for the selected distance.

The Detour By Road(s) on Route option will provide a list of the roads along your route that you can select to specifically detour around.

To Add or Remove Change Route from the Map Tools:

1. Touch Settings
2. Touch Map & Vehicle
3. Touch Map Tools
4. Touch in the box next to Change Route to either place or remove a checkmark
5. Touch Save

The Change Route tool will now be available (or removed) from the View Map page.

On the View Map screen, touch the wrench or the 3-line menu in the lower right corner to access map tools.

To Customize or Display Other Map Tools Shortcuts

You have the ability to customize shortcuts to various other device features using Map Tools. This allows for quick access to additional information while navigating. The information will show on the right side of the View Map screen.
