No Compatible Devices Found in the ActiveCaptain® App

If the ActiveCaptain® app is not pairing with a Garmin device, ensure the following:

Ensure the Wi-Fi on the Garmin device is enabled.

For STRIKER™  fishfinders | ECHOMAP™ chartplotters
  1. Select ActiveCaptain from the home screen

  2. Select Wi-Fi Network

  3. Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on

  4. If desired, use the directional pad to change the Wi-Fi name and Password


Force® Series Trolling Motors

    1. Handheld Remote for the Force Trolling Motor turned on

    2. Set Wi-Fi of the Force to ActiveCaptain mode:  Menu button - Settings - Trolling Motor - Wi-Fi - Mode - ActiveCaptain

    3. Make sure to setup a Wi-Fi name and password from the Handheld Remote

    4. Wi-Fi settings of the mobile device, connect to the Wi-Fi of the Force Trolling Motor

  

For GPSMAP® chartplotters
    1. From the AV/Gauges and Controls menu, select ActiveCaptain

    2. Select Wi-Fi Network

    3. Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on

    4. If desired, use the directional pad to change the Wi-Fi name and Password

  • Verify the Garmin device software is up to date. For instructions on updating the software, see Related Content.

  • Close any apps that are running in the background on the smart device

  • Restart the smart device

  • Connect to the chartplotters Wi-Fi signal
