How to Invite Another User to the Index BPM

The Index™ BPM Smart Blood Pressure Monitor supports multiple users and the process requires that the primary owner complete wireless setup in your Garmin Connect™ account. Following this, any additional users who want to track blood pressure in Garmin Connect must also have a Garmin Connect account and be invited by the primary owner.

How Do I Invite a User to the Index BPM?

If you would like to add additional users after the initial setup, select your preferred method below for more information.


Garmin Connect App

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select More (bottom right).

  3. Select Garmin Devices.

  4. Select your Index BPM.

  5. Select Manage Users.

  6. Select Invite Connections.

  7. Select Invite next to the desired Connection.


Garmin Connect Web

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. Select Black watch icon (top right).

  3. Locate your Index BPM.

  4. Select Manage Users.

  5. Select Invite next to the name of the Connection you wish to add.


Once the invite is accepted, the device must by synced to download the new user profile. To do this, you can take a measurement, or you can trigger a Wi-Fi sync. Go to the device’s menu, and tap until you see the Wi-Fi symbol. Press the heart button to start a Wi-Fi sync. Once completed, the invited user will be available on the device the next time the device wakes up.

To select a secondary user, simply press the top (User) button after the unit is turned on. Keep pressing the User button if there are multiple users until the name that appears is correct. Then take a measurement.


How Do I Accept an Invitation for an Index BPM?

After an owner invites a user, an invitation will be sent to the user to accept. The invitation will appear under Requests and Notifications Black and white notification box (top right) in Garmin Connect web or in the Notifications bell icon Bell Notification Icon (top left) in the Garmin Connect app Home page. They will also receive an email for the invitation if they have chosen to receive Connect emails.

To Accept the Invitation and Complete the Setup:

  1. Select Get Started from the notification in Garmin Connect, in the Garmin Connect app, or in the email that was received.

  2. Enter your initials when prompted and confirm your user information is correct.

  3. Select Next or Finish to complete the setup.


How Do I Remove a User From the Index BPM?

Removing users from the Index BPM can be done through the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Connect web. Select your option below.


Garmin Connect App

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select More (bottom right).

  3. Select Garmin Devices.

  4. Select your Index BPM.

  5. Select Manage Users.

  6. Select Edit.

  7. Select red circle with white minus sign  on the profile you wish to delete.


Garmin Connect Web

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. Select Black watch icon (upper right).

  3. Select your Index BPM.

  4. Select Device Settings.

  5. Select Remove next to the name of the Connection you wish to remove.
