Benefits of Using the Tread XL Dock

The Tread® XL Dock can be used with the Tread® XL - Baja Chase Edition, Tread® XL - Baja Race Edition, and Tread® XL - Overland Edition to securely hold the device over rough terrain.  The dock has physical buttons that allow you to quickly navigate menus without using the Tread touchscreen. 

Ports Available on the Tread® XL Dock:

1. Power Port: Compatible with a 12 Volt Vehicle Power Cable and the High-current Power Cable
2. Data Port: Connect to an optional Group Ride Accessory
3. Iridium Antenna Port: Connect External inReach® Antenna
4. GNSS Antenna Port: Connect External GPS Antenna with Mount

Physical Buttons on the Tread® XL Dock:

• Power Button: Press to turn on the navigation device.

• Zoom Out: Press to zoom out the map. 

• Zoom In: Press to zoom in the map.

• Scroll Up, Scroll Down, Scroll Left, or Scroll Right: Press to move through menu items or scroll the map.

• Back Button: Press to return to the previous screen.

•  Select: Press to select an option

• View Map: Press to open the map

• InReach: Press to access inReach

• Save Waypoint: Press to save a waypoint

Mounting Considerations:

You can flush mount the device in the dashboard, or bail mount the device on the dashboard. 

When selecting a mounting location, observe the following considerations. 

• You must select a location that is strong enough to support the weight of the dock and the device. 
• You must select a location that allows room for the routing and connection of all of the cables. 
• You should mount the device to provide an optimal viewing angle as you operate your vehicle.
