Sharing User Data With Another ActiveCaptain User

In order to share user data, like routes and waypoints,  with another ActiveCaptain® app user, use the following steps:

To export the data:

1. Open the ActiveCaptain app

2. Select Chart

3. In the top right, select ☰

4. Select User Data

5. Select ⋮

6. Select Export to GPX File

7. This will now allow you to share the exported User Data file via Email. Send the file via Email to the intended recipient.

To import the user data that was shared via email:

1. Open the ActiveCaptain app so that it is running in the background

2. Open the email containing the GPX file

3. Tap on the GPX file attachement

   • Android - Will automatically go to the ActiveCaptain app and provide the Import option

   • iOS - Select the share icon (square with up arrow) and select the ActiveCaptain app, then select Import
