Adjusting the Volume on the GPSMAP 79 or 86 Series Handheld

If the GPSMAP 79 or 86 series is connected to a headset or speaker mount, it will produce sound for things like alerts, button presses, proximity alarms and directions.

To adjust the volume of these tones, follow the steps below.

Adjusting Volume

1. Press Menu twice to access the Main Menu

2. Select Setup

3. Select Tones

4. Select Volume

   NOTE: Tones can be muted by selecting Sounds, then OFF

5. Select 1-5 for volume with 5 being the loudest

Volume will now be adjusted for all tones the device makes.
