Putting a Garmin Dash Cam 30/35 into Mass Storage Mode

The Garmin Dash Cam uses mass storage mode to communicate with the computer. 

When plugged into a computer with a microSD card inserted, the Dash Cam will ask if you would like to use it in mass storage mode. Press the button next to the  when Yes is highlighted to confirm. If No is highlighted, and the button next to the  is pressed, the Dash Cam will remain on and record video as if it were connected to the vehicle power cable.

Mass storage mode is indicated by this icon on the screen:

These devices will display the mass storage prompt and enter mass storage even if a microSD card is not inserted into the device, however the device still will not be recognized by the computer or Garmin applications unless a microSD card is present.
