Replacing the VHF Antenna on a TT 15X or T 5X Collar

The TT™ 15X and T 5X collars feature a replaceable very high frequency (VHF) antenna. It is suggested that before replacing the antenna you ensure the area of the collar where the antenna is connected is free of dirt, water, and debris.

If necessary you can purchase a replacement VHF antenna on Garmin.com.

Replacing the VHF Antenna

1. Remove the 4 screws (1) carefully from the L-shaped cover over the end of the VHF antenna and note where the one screw that is shorter belongs
   
2. Remove the L-shaped cover
3. Remove the final Phillips screw to release the VHF antenna
   
   
4. Loop the antenna guide around the collar strap and thread the new VHF antenna through the guide. This helps to keep the antenna pointed up.
5. Replace the screw securing the VHF antenna to the black plate
6. Replace the L-shaped cover over the VHF antenna
7. Replace the 4 screws on the L-shaped cover, replacing the short screw in the correct location

Garmin has a Protective Band Sheath Sheath Antenna Keeper for further protecting your collar in the area where the antenna is connected to the tracking collar.
