Calibrate the Tread - SXS Edition, Tread - Overland Edition, and Tread XL - Overland Edition Compass

When a Tread device is connected to the magnetic mount, it will use GPS data to determine your compass heading.  When the device is disconnected from the magnetic mount it will use a built-in compass to show the heading.

NOTE: When calibrating the compass, do not hold the device near magnetic fields or metal objects such as vehicles, electronic devices, in or around buildings, or overhead power lines. The device has to be disconnected from the mount to calibrate manually.

If you are Experiencing Erratic Compass Behavior, you can Manually Initiate the Compass Calibration Procedure by Following the Steps Below:

1. Swipe the main menu screen to the left. 

2. Touch Altimeter

3. Touch the Compass

4. Follow the on-screen instructions
