Garmin Real Directions and Garmin Real Voice

Devices with Garmin Real Directions provide spoken instructions using not only street names but also recognizable landmarks, buildings, and even traffic lights. This helps minimize the need for you to find and read street name signs.

Example:

• Without Garmin Real Directions: "In 500 feet, turn right at Metcalf Avenue."
• With Garmin Real Directions: "In 500 feet, be in either of the two right lanes, then turn right at the stoplight."

Garmin Real Directions will also place a silver "speech bubble" icon on the map of your device which helps pinpoint the location of any landmarks mentioned. This icon can be pressed to repeat the instruction. See the image below for an example:

Garmin Real Directions is only available in North America, Europe, and Australia.

Garmin Real Voice uses refined speech technology to provide spoken instructions using a voice that sounds more realistic and friendly.
