How to Customize the Garmin Boat Switch Page

Open the Switching menu

Select Options

Select Setup

Select Add Page if needing to delete a

• Pages can be deleted here too, and if all pages are deleted there will be a Page 1 shown by default

Select Name

Enter the desired name then select Done

From the Switching menu select Options

Select Setup

Select Edit Page

Select Edit Switches

Select the Switch to apply a name to

Select Configure Switch

Select Label to add a label on the switch, up to 5 characters

Select Done

Select Name to add a name above the switch, up to 25 characters

Select Done

From the Switching menu select Options

Select Settings

Select My Vessel

Select Switching

Select NMEA Standard

Select the Switch to customize

Select Visibility to toggle between Shown and Hidden

From the Switching page select Options

Select Setup

Select Edit Page

Select Edit Switches

• Selecting Restore Default View will make available switches not set to hidden reappear on this page

Select the position to place a switch

Select Replace Switch

Select All

• Any hidden switches must be set to visible to show in this list

Select the desired switch from the list

From the Switching menu select Options

Select Settings

Select My Vessel

Select Switching

Select NMEA Standard

Select the desired switch from the list

Select Configuration

Select Momentary or Latching

From the Switching menu select Options

Select Switch Style

Select the desired style from Rocker Switches, Silver Push Switches, or Black Push Switches

From the Switching menu select Options

Select Setup

Select Edit Page

Select Add BoatView Image

Select Top View, Side View or Load from Card

• Refer to the GPSMAP Owner's Manual for image size and compatibility

From this menu the image can be toggled to Show or Hide and switch between horizontal or vertical orientation

To place switches on the image select Place Switches

Select the desired switch from the list

Select Set Position

Select the location to place the switch on the image

Select Set Position

To add an icon on the switch select Change Icon then select the desired icon

From the Switching page select Menu

Select Add Page 

• Pages can be deleted from this page as well, and if all pages are deleted there will be a Page 1 shown by default

Select Name

Enter up to 25 characters then select Done

From the Switching page select Menu

Select the page with the switch to be named

Select Edit Switches

Select the switch to name

Select Configure Switch

Select Name

Select Edit Name

Enter up to 32 characters then select Done

Select Label

Select Edit Label

Enter up to 5 characters then select Done

Select Icon and select the desired icon from the list

From the ECHOMAP Home page select Settings

Select My Vessel

Select NMEA Standard

Select the desired switch from the list

Select Visibility to toggle between Shown and Hidden

From the ECHOMAP Home page select Settings

Select My Vessel

Select NMEA Standard

Select the desired switch from the list

Select Configuration

Select Latching or Momentary

From the Switching page select Menu

Select the page with the desired switch

Select Switch Style to toggle between Rocker or Push

From the Switching page select Menu

Select the page with the desired switch

Select Edit Switches

Select the switch to add an icon to

Select Configure Switch

Select Icon and select the desired icon from the list

From the Switching page select Menu

Select the page to organize

Select Edit Switches

Select the switch position

Select Replace Switch

Select All

Select the desired switch from the list to apply to the selected position

• Hidden switches must be made visible to be seen in this list

From the Switching page select Menu

Select the page to restore the default view

Select Edit Switches

Select Menu

Select Restore Default View
