Cancel inReach Service for Professional Accounts

At certain times, it may be desirable to cancel the service for an inReach® satellite communicator. This can be helpful if the device is going to be stored for a period longer than a year, or to prepare the device for transfer of ownership. Deactivating, in regards to the inReach Service Plan, is to put a device in a "cancelled" state where it will no longer function on the Iridium Network. Devices that are deactivated will incur additional fees for activating again.

If the device is only needed during certain times of the year, suspending the plan is a great option. Suspending puts the device in a "stopped" state for a lower monthly charge when it is not in use. Devices can be reactivated easily and generally without incurring additional fees.  For additional steps see Related .

IMPORTANT: SOS and messaging services will not work for devices that are suspended or deactivated.
