Getting Started With the Garmin DriveSmart 66, 76, or 86 with Amazon Alexa

How Do I Get Started?
First, we recommend that you fully charge your device, see - Charging an Automotive Device.
1. Power on the DriveSmart device.

AMAZON ALEXA
- Voice Button. Press if you want to manually activate the Amazon Alexa voice feature.
- You can also say 'Alexa' to activate the Amazon Alexa voice feature.
- Hold for two seconds to mute the microphone for voice features.
- This feature requires Amazon Alexa setup. See - ''Connected Features - Garmin Drive App' below for steps.
MICROPHONES
- For voice command features and hands-free calling.
- See 'OK Garmin - Voice Command' below for activating and tips.
POWER BUTTON
- Hold the power button down to manually turn on, or turn off the device.
- Tap the power button to go into standby mode.

USB POWER AND DATA TRANSFER PORT
- To power the device, charge the device internal battery, or to connect to a computer for data transfer.

MAP and DATA MEMORY CARD SLOT
- A microSD card with at least 16 GB and no larger than 256G of space must be used when the map updates no longer fit in the internal storage of the device.
- The update program will alert you when an SD card is needed.
2. Select your locale and language.
3. OPTIONAL: Pair your DriveSmart with the Garmin Drive™ app on a smartphone for additional Connections and Features.

4. RECOMMENDED: Wi-Fi connect your device to your home internet. This will allow you to register and update the software and maps on your device.
