Change Unit of Temperature and Distance on an Automotive Device

The unit of temperature displayed on your device will depend on the temperature scale used by the Country your device is set to. You have the option to set the device to a different locale in order to change the temperature scale between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

NOTE: Changing the text language can impact the unit of temperature the device uses. For instructions to change the text language, go to the Support Center and enter the product name or the serial number of your device. Once your device is selected click Other and search for “Changing the Text Language on an Automotive Device if you can't Read it”

To Change the Locale:

1. Touch Settings
2. Touch the menu button (three horizontal lines)
3. Touch Restore
4. Touch Yes to confirm
5. Select the desired locale when prompted
6. Select the desired language when prompted

The locale will now be changed.

Another option to change the unit of temperature is changing the unit of measure for distance. Choosing kilometers will change the temperature to Celsius and miles will change the temperature to Fahrenheit. 

To Change the Unit of Measure for Distance:

1. Touch Settings
2. Touch Units and Time or System
3. Touch Units
4. Select the desired unit of measure
5. Touch Save

The unit of measure and temperature will now be changed. 

NOTE: The unit of measure will not automatically change.  It must be manually changed.
