Pairing a new gWind Wireless Transducer to an existing WSI box
The gWind Wireless Transducer sends wind data to a paired WSI box. If either the gWind Wireless Transducer or the WSI box is replaced, the devices will need to be paired. Follow these steps to pair the devices:
Note: While these instructions will work with any compatible chartplotter, newer black bezel devices will have an "Unpair" option in the Configure Menu. Choosing this is merely a simpler alternative to completing step 9.
Remove the battery cover from the gWind Wireless Transducer
Bring the gWind Wireless Transducer to within 2 meters of the WSI box
Hold the white button on the gWind Wireless Transducer until the LED turns off
On the connected Garmin Chartplotter or Marine Instrument, select the NMEA 2000 Device List
Select the GND 10
Select Review (non-touchscreen devices)
Select Configure (black bezel devices only)
Select Generic Configuration
Input the word UP and select Done
Press the white button on the gWind Wireless Wind Transducer
If the LED flashes twice, the pairing was successful
If the LED flashes three times, the pairing was unsuccessful. Move the gWind Wireless Transducer closer to the WSI box and try steps 3 through 8 again
Replace the battery cover on the gWind Wireless Transducer
