Pairing the BC 40 Camera with an Automotive Device

You can pair the BC 40 Camera with a compatible Garmin navigation device.

The BC 40 can pair up to 25 feet away. Follow the steps below to pair the BC 40 Camera. If the device does not detect the camera automatically, it can also be paired manually.


To Pair the BC 40 Camera with an Automotive Device: 

1. Update the automotive device to the latest software version. 

For instructions to update an automotive device see: 

2. Install the batteries in the camera. Verify the gasket is clean and fully seated in the groove. 

The camera enters pairing mode automatically, and the LED flashes blue while the camera is in pairing mode.

The camera remains in pairing mode for five minutes. If pairing mode expires, remove and reinstall the batteries.

3. Turn on the automotive device. The device will detect the camera and display a prompt to pair with it. Touch Yes.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing


To Manually Pair the BC 40 Camera with an Automotive Device:

1. Touch Settings

2. Touch Wireless Camera

3. Touch Add New Camera  

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing
